SmartSite® needle-free system
Needle-free - it's the law
The revised Bloodborne Pathogen Directive was signed into federal law in October 2000, insuring stringent enforcement of this important, needle-free mandate. In the revised Bloodborne Pathogen Directive (effective November 1999), the federal OSHA requires the adoption of the safest needle-free devices by healthcare facilities to prevent exposure to blood-borne pathogens through needlesticks. State legislation is also being passed rapidly, with 21 states having passed needle-free mandates over the past few years.
