Instructions for Use

General Care:

To ensure that your oxygen tank holder has a long service life, inspect it regularly and follow these general maintenance tips:

Before cleaning oxygen tank holder, ensure that wheelchair is not in use and oxygen tank holder is free of oxygen cylinder. Injury or damage may occur if cleaning agents come in contact with oxygen regulator.

Oxygen tank holder may be cleaned with any household glass cleaner. Ensure cleaning solution has dried completely before using wheelchair and/or installing oxygen cylinder.

Do Not Attempt To Install Or Use Your Wheelchair Oxygen Tank Holder Without Reading All Instructions Carefully. Failure To Follow Instructions May Result In Injury.

Consult with your healthcare provider if:

  • you require additional instruction on the proper use of this product.
  • you have any disability or physical limitation or are taking any medication that could cause interference with the safe use of this product.

Prior to use, and following any repairs or adjustments, ensure that all attaching hardware is securely tightened. Failure to do so may result in injury or damage.

The oxygen tank holder MUST be installed ONLY on the lower left rear wheelchair frame.

Oxygen tank holder must be checked weekly to ensure it is tightly secured to the wheelchair frame. If any looseness is detected, tighten the attachment hardware securely before using.

Ensure oxygen tank holder is secured tightly to frame before placing oxygen cylinder in holder.

 

Oxygen tank holder is designed to support oxygen cylinders that are 4 5/8 inches in diameter. Smaller oxygen cylinders will not secure in place properly, which may result in injury and/or damage to the cylinder.

DO NOT use oxygen tank holder to hang or support objects other than oxygen cylinder.

Before cleaning oxygen tank holder, ensure that wheelchair is not in use and oxygen tank holder is free of oxygen cylinder. Injury or damage may occur if cleaning agents come in contact with oxygen regulator.

If any component of this product is damaged or missing, discontinue use immediately. Contact Cardinal Health at 1-877-227-3462 for repair and/or appropriate replacement parts. DO NOT use non-Cardinal HealthTM parts.

Use Cardinal HealthTM accessories only. The use of other manufacturers' accessories can result in an improper fit and risk of fall and/or injury.

Failure to follow the above instructions may result in serious injury and/or damage to the product. Cardinal Health assumes no responsibility for any injury or damage caused by improper installation, assembly, or use of this product.

(1) Oxygen tank holder

(1) Hex screw

(1) Locking knob

To Install/Remove:

Caution: The oxygen tank holder can be installed ONLY on the lower left rear wheelchair frame.

  1. Locate the lower left rear of wheelchair frame.
  2. Remove cap or anti-tipper from back of frame.
  3. Remove hex screw from mounting bracket on oxygen tank holder.
  4. Slide lower round portion of oxygen tank holder over the frame until side rests against back of wheelchair and mounting bracket rests against wheelchair frame.
  5. Holding oxygen tank holder steady, secure mounting bracket to wheelchair frame with hex screw. 
  6. Verify that rear wheels spin freely.
  7. Re-install the frame cap or anti-tipper device back onto frame.
  8. Double check that all connections are secure before use.
  9. To remove oxygen tank holder, reverse Steps 1-5.
Usage

To Use

Caution: Only use oxygen cylinders that are at least 4 5/8 inches in diameter. Smaller oxygen cylinders will not secure in place properly, which may result in injury and/or damage to the cylinder.

Using the Oxygen Tank Holder

  1. Place the oxygen cylinder in the oxygen tank holder.
  2. Secure the oxygen cylinder in place by rotating the locking knob clockwise. Hand-tighten only, ensuring not to over-tighten.
  3. To remove the oxygen cylinder, reverse Steps 1-2.
