Luke Tobin is a registered nurse with experience in clinical and business initiatives serving hospitals and health systems. Luke has built a strong understanding of the nursing profession, and gained valuable insight to the hospital infrastructures, needs of doctors and nurses, and a firm understanding of the challenges hospitals and health systems faces in today’s changing healthcare landscape.

His in-hospital experience includes the intensive care unit (ICU), pediatrics, orthopedics, operating room (OR), and medical/surgical (MedSurg). While at Grant Medical Center, Luke served on the Nursing Practice Council and Nursing Unit Council, where he provided education materials for the hospital’s nursing staff on best practices and industry trends. He also helped maintain the highest ratings in patient satisfaction scores on the Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (known as HCAHPS) survey for the hospital, earning a seat on the Magnet Recertification Board.

As part of the Clinical Data Innovation and Insights team at Cardinal Health, Luke utilizes his clinical background with large health systems to reduce cost through innovative, cross-functional collaboration and clinical data integration.

Ultimately, his passion remains the same in the hospital and at Cardinal Health: Helping health systems improve patient outcomes and reduce the cost of care.
