Consumer Health

Collaborating on our retail journey at BPC

We’d like to thank all of our supplier partners that attended the 2016 Business Partners Conference (BPC) last October, as well as those who attended the 2016 Fall Front-end Conference (FEC). We know that finding solutions on the path of the retail journey isn’t always clear or simple. And our partnership on this journey is critical to the success of our mutual customers.

With 7,000 locations strong, retail independents are just as large – if not larger – than the big chains. And, we are focused on helping them thrive. To do this, we conducted extensive research to better understand the independent pharmacy shopper - who she is, what motivates her, and what she wants from her community pharmacy – and utilized those consumer insights to develop turnkey solutions. These solutions deliver on the shoppers’ needs while also being easy for the pharmacist to execute.

Cardinal is no longer a transactional wholesaler. We are a strategic retail partner with the ability to outpace market share.

In the past year, Cardinal Health was named the Outstanding Retail Partner by two companies. We created our own 5,000 sq. ft. mock pharmacy merchandising lab. We launched a new POS program, and began our first Temporary Price Reduction (TPR) program. We have the tools to partner up and down the value chain to drive retail success.

Additionally, we are enhancing planograms and bringing them in-house.  To increase compliance and execution capabilities, regional operation consultants are working with pharmacies on merchandising and retail best practices. We are continuing to build new solutions driven by deep consumer insights and shopper data. Join us on our retail journey by bringing your retail teams, innovation, retail programs  and let’s collaborate together!

The more we know, the more we grow. What questions do YOU want answered?

As part of our last Voice of the Manufacturer survey, we heard you and your request for us to increase and improve upon our communications. It is extremely important to us to maintain a strong and valuable partnership with you, and we understand it is vital that we communicate our shared priorities in a clear and concise manner. Our first step in advancing our communication is to give you an opportunity to ask us questions that we will answer in future editions of the Centripetal Source.

What do you want to know? Do you want to know something more about the Consumer Health organization? Maybe what’s going on in specific categories or programs? Or where we see our business is taking us? Email your questions to GMB-Front-End@cardinalhealth.com, and a series of questions will be selected and answered in the next Centripetal Source.
