The following information provides guidance for answering application questions about criminal convictions in accordance with the laws of your state of residence. Do not include any information related to expunged or sealed records.
ALABAMA, ARKANSAS, CONNECTICUT, HAWAII, IDAHO, KANSAS, MAINE, MARYLAND, MINNESOTA, NEW JERSEY, OKLAHOMA, SOUTH CAROLINA, TENNESSEE, VIRGINIA, WEST VIRGINIA AND WYOMING RESIDENTS: Do not include information regarding juvenile records.
ALASKA RESIDENTS: Do not include information for convictions more than 10 years old. Do not include information on pending arrests greater than one year old.
CALIFORNIA RESIDENTS: Do not include misdemeanor convictions for which you have successfully completed probation or that have been otherwise discharged. Do not include information regarding referral to/participation in a pre- or post-trial diversion program. Do not include information regarding convictions for marijuana-related offenses greater than two years old.
GEORGIA RESIDENTS: Do not include information regarding juvenile records, unless you have more than one offense as a juvenile.
HAWAII RESIDENTS: Do not respond to this question unless you have already received a conditional offer of employment.
INDIANA RESIDENTS: Do not include information regarding convictions for misdemeanors or summary offenses.
MASSACHUSETTS RESIDENTS: You may respond “no” concerning an arrest or conviction with respect to: (1) an arrest or prosecution that did not lead to a conviction in which no conviction resulted; (2) a first conviction for any of the following misdemeanors: drunkenness, simple assault, speeding, minor traffic violations, affray, or disturbance of the peace; or (3) Misdemeanors where the date of conviction or the end of any period of incarceration was more than five years ago, provided that there have been no subsequent convictions within those five years; (4) records of court appearances or arrests that have been sealed under state law; and/or (5) juvenile records including delinquency and child in need of services complaints, unless the juvenile was tried as an adult in Superior Court.
MICHIGAN RESIDENTS: Do not include information regarding pending misdemeanor charges.
MONTANA RESIDENTS: Do not include information regarding misdemeanor convictions or deferred prosecutions.
NEBRASKA RESIDENTS: Do not include information concerning pending arrests greater than one year old and where active prosecution is not contemplated or pending.
NEW HAMPSHIRE RESIDENTS: Only include information for the last five years.
OREGON RESIDENTS: Do not include pending arrest information greater than one year old.
PENNSYLVANIA RESIDENTS: Do not include information regarding pending arrests greater than three years old.
UTAH RESIDENTS: Do not include information regarding misdemeanor convictions.
WASHINGTON RESIDENTS: Do not include information greater than seven years old.
