The program will seek to:
- Develop a risk assessment and stratification mechanism for Montefiore Medical Center inpatients
- Develop computerized decision support for venous thromboembolism prophylaxis including:
- Specialty specific prophylaxis guidelines
- Dosing recommendations
- Venous thromboembolism prevention order sets
- Educate providers on the importance of venous thromboembolism prophylaxis
