BD™ Universal Viral Transport Kits

(BD Diagnostics) Achieve collection and safe transport of clinical specimens containing viruses, chlamydiae, mycoplasmas or ureaplasmas from the collection site to the lab with these universal viral transport kits. All kits include a room-temperature stable universal transporting medium that can sustain viability and infectivity of organisms during transport. Supplied in a labeled, screw cap vial, the medium includes protein for stabilization, antibiotics to minimize bacterial and fungal contamination and a buffer to maintain a neutral pH.

Kit 4320221 is supplied with two standard polyester-tipped swabs with scored plastic shafts. Kit 4320222 is supplied with one standard polyester-tipped swab with scored plastic shaft and one wire/plastic polyester minitip swab with scored plastic shaft. 50 kits per package.
