Pleur-evac® Wet
Suction Chest Drainage System

(Genzyme Biosurgery) This adult/pediatric wet suction chest drainage system includes a positive pressure relief valve that prevents tension pneumothorax if the suction tubing is occluded. A high negativity relief valve permits manual filtered venting of excessive negative pressure, and a high negativity float valve prevents the loss of the water seal.

Available with or without autotransfusion compatibility. Units with autotransfusion compatibility also feature a patented air leak meter that numerically quantifies patient air leak from high (7) to low (1) to simplify diagnosis. An infant collection chamber unit is available without autotransfusion compatibility. The infant unit features 1/2cc increments to 10cc and 1cc increments to 150cc.
