KOVA® System Urinalysis Quality Controls

(Hycor Biomedical) These comprehensive human urine controls are for physical, chemical (test strips) and microscopic examination of urine. Qualitative and quantitative values are listed for pH, protein, glucose, ketones, hemoglobin, bilirubin, urobilinogen, nitrites, leukocyte esterase, specific gravity and osmolality. Red blood cells, white blood cells, casts and crystals are included for controlling microscopic analysis along with hCG for controlling pregnancy tests. Microalbumin and creatinine values are provided with KOVA-Trol™ controls.

KOVA-Trol™ I high abnormal control. Stable human urine control with constituents in the high abnormal range. Available with or without assigned urobilinogen values.

KOVA-Trol™ II low abnormal control. Stable human urine control with constituents in the low abnormal range.

KOVA-Trol™ III normal control. Stable human urine control with constituents in the normal range and includes hCG for use as a positive control with urine pregnancy tests.

KOVA® brand Liqua-Trol™ normal and abnormal controls. Contain no microscopic elements. Ready-to-use stable human liquid urine controls: one with constituents in the normal range, the other in the abnormal range. The normal level contains hCG. Controls offer 30-day room temperature stability.

KOVA® brand Liqua-Trol™ controls with microscopics have the same features of Liqua-Trol™ controls and include the addition of red blood cells, white blood cells and crystals so they can be used as controls for manual or instrument microscopic procedures. The normal level contains hCG. Supplied in oversized bottles for less spillage.
