This module will provide a roadmap to building a facility-based program, including assessing facility need for a skin integrity program, planning for program implementation, implementing the program, and measuring the program's outcomes.
Upon completion of this activity, participant should be able to describe the different functions of layers of skin, identify both intrinsic and extrinsic conditions impacting skin integrity and discuss general risk factors that impact wound healing.
Upon completion of this activity, participant should be able to list several wound characteristics and associated conditions that denote nutritional deficiencies.
