The Supply Chain Excellence (SCE) scorecard delivers the highest level of customer service through the lowest cost distribution platform. This strategy requires continuous improvement and collaboration between suppliers and Cardinal Health.
This year, there were a few changes to the SCE scorecard metrics and one that we wanted to highlight is the Product Availability Report Metric, also known as PAR. It measures compliance to the weekly submission of proactive manufacturer backorder or potential supply disruption, which impacts our mutual customers.
PAR: Moved from a 100 percent scale to a 10-point scale, making it simple and easy to identify missing or incomplete reports. Weekly points are deducted based on the following compliance variables, starting with 10 points per week:
- 11-digit NDC# or CIN# without dashes = - 4 points
- Product availability category = - 2 points
- Estimated release date = - 2 points
Quarterly scores are assigned based on weekly averaged points (see below)
|9.5 - 10 = 10 pts.
||4.5 – 5.49 = 5 pts.
|8.5 – 9.49 = 9 pts.
||3.5 – 4.49 = 4 pts.
|7.5 – 8.49 = 8 pts.
||2.5 – 3.49 = 3 pts.
|6.5 – 7.49 = 7 pts.
||1.5 – 2.49 = 2 pts.
|5.5 – 6.49 = 6 pts.
||0.5 – 1.49 = 1 pt.
||Below 0.5 = 0 pts.
Reminder: Send weekly PAR reports to your buyer using the same template used in the past. If you don’t know who your buyer is, please contact 614.757.5000.
