Over the past four and a half years, Jennifer Fillman, VP/GM, Specialty Services, has led Cardinal Health Specialty Solutions’ biopharma services businesses through an exciting period of innovation and growth and the industry is taking notice. PM360 has named Jennifer to their 2019 Elite 100 list of the most influential people in healthcare.
The 2019 PM360 Elite 100 list includes leaders at the forefront of their respective fields who are leading the pharmaceutical industry in exciting and new directions. Jennifer’s transformational leadership of the Cardinal Health 3PL Services, Sonexus™ Access and Patient Support, and Insights & Engagement businesses is an ideal example of this.
Under Jennifer’s leadership, 3PL Services has more than doubled its customer portfolio -- expanding our view of the pharma industry to offer informed insights and best practices back to our clients -- and grown the team by 175 percent since 2015. Additionally, Jennifer has led Cardinal Health’s hub services business, Sonexus™, to expand its client roster, which now includes several top 20 pharma companies and blockbuster brands. Since 2015, the Insights & Engagement business has built a robust presence in the field of health economics and outcomes research (HEOR), publishing more than 130 abstracts in leading peer-reviewed publications and presenting more than 112 posters at major industry events.
Jennifer has also guided the development and launch of several innovative new offerings in each of these businesses. Within 3PL Services, she championed the Title Model program that enables pharma companies to leverage the warehousing, distribution and order-to-cash capabilities of Cardinal Health while reducing their risk to help products get to market faster. Launched in 2018, Sonexus’™ ConnectSource is a next-generation, cloud-based hub services platform that streamlines patient access and provides data-driven insights to biopharma companies on interactions across the patient journey. Jennifer has also steered the launch of the Oncology Provider Extended Network (OPEN) which allows biopharma companies to tap into a proprietary network of oncologists to access data and insights, enable research opportunities and share promotional content.
“From her support and encouragement in expanding our facilities to developing new capabilities and being creative in changing our operational structures, Jennifer knew what we would need to position the business for the future while delivering a high level of quality to our customers,” says Joel Wayment, Vice President of 3PL Services. “Our business has seen incredible growth over the past four years. Jennifer has been instrumental in nurturing that growth and having the foresight to see what changes we need to make now to be ready for the future. “
