Fit Testing
- The “fit test” tests the seal between the respirator’s facepiece and their face – the “seal check” should still be performed every time the respirator is put on.
- Fit testing must be performed before the respirator is first used by the user and it takes about fifteen minutes to conduct – this is then performed at least annually going forward.
