Product description
Cardinal Health™ Petrolatum Emulsion Contact Layer dressings are sterile, occlusive wound dressings made with a flexible, non-adherent knitted cellulose acetate fabric coated with a formulated petrolatum emulsion. The dressings are used to help aid fluid transfer into the secondary dressing. The non-adherent property of the dressing helps to facilitate atraumatic removal by providing protection to the wound bed during dressing changes.
Indications:
May be used to allow passage of exudate and protection of the wound bed during dressing changes for a wide variety of partial to full thickness wounds, including:
- Skin grafts
- Venous ulcers
- Surgical sites
- First- and second-degree burns
- Pressure ulcers
- Lacerations and abrasions
- Cosmetic surgery sites
