Steve Jensen is Vice President of Technology for Cardinal Health Sonexus™ Access & Patient Support.
Jensen is responsible for the implementation of new client solutions, ongoing support and enhancements for current clients as well as innovative technology solutions that improve the overall experience and performance outcomes for patients, providers and physicians.
Jensen has more than 25 years of experience in healthcare with significant experience in medical equipment logistics, pharmacy benefit management, individual and group health insurance, and sales force management. Prior to Cardinal Health, he served as vice president and director of Insphere Insurance Solutions and held additional executive roles at Healthmarkets, AdvancePCS and Philips Medical Systems. Jensen’s experience has focused on rapidly changing environments and product innovation. He has managed teams responsible for business operations, product development, software engineering and technical infrastructure.
Professional affiliations and awards
Jensen is involved in the National Council for Prescription Drug Programs (NCPDP), local Chief Information Officer (CIO) committees and other Healthcare forums. In 2013, his software engineering team was awarded a Global Sales and Service Excellence award for their custom mobile application solution and high adoption rates of relationship management tools. In 2016, Jensen was nominated for Dallas CIO of the year.
Jensen received a bachelor’s degree in computer information systems, a master’s degree in accounting and master’s degree in business from Southern Methodist University.
