New clinical resources added to our VitalSource™ GPO member site
The VitalSource™ GPO team has added two new clinical resources for members on their website. The first, is an “Oral Chemotherapy Medication Dosing Cheat Sheet.” This tool provides on-site dispensing staff with a reference guide to use with oral Oncology and Urology drugs and includes information provided on current package inserts approved by the FDA.
The second resource highlights updated guidelines from the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), Oncology Nursing Society (ONS), and the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) on safe chemotherapy administration. This information includes specific guidance for pediatric oncology, as well as guidelines for verification of compounded chemotherapy preparations and the administration of vinca alkaloids.
